fragile began as a quiet side project — an extension of my art practice, but also a way to make something more accessible and intimate. Each piece is built slowly by hand, shaped through touch and instinct. No two are ever the same.
This limited range includes candles, cups and saucers, mugs, bowls, and plates — functional objects made to be used and lived with. They carry the marks of making, the small irregularities that speak of time, care, and imperfection.
Many of the surfaces draw from the textiles that appear throughout my paintings — woven patterns and fragments of floral lace that carry personal histories. The woven motifs come from a piece I knitted myself, a quiet record of time and labour. Pressed into the clay, these textures become soft echoes of memory, binding my different ways of making into a single, tactile language.
The candles are made to last beyond their light. When the wax is gone, the vessel remains — fragrance and flame giving way to the quiet comfort of a morning ritual. A small reminder that care and beauty can be renewed.
fragile exists for those who want to hold a piece of art in their hands, to make something beautiful part of their everyday rituals. It’s a reminder that beauty often lives in the delicate balance between strength and fragility.
